Shane Turnbull’s 5 Day Maui Wilderness Adventure
Arrival day You’ll be met at the Kahalui Airport where we collect your bags and eventually drive out to our home and adventure retreat near the ancient village of Kahakuloa. You’ll settle into comfortable accommodations and then celebrate your arrival with a hearty meal, refreshments and local hospitality.
Day 1 Rise to the warmth and sun over Kahakuloa Bay. After a relaxed breakfast we’ll venture to the meadows and ocean cliffs in a familiarization adventure. After lunch we hike to explore a couple of west Maui secrets. At ’Base Camp’ for a barbeque dinner and an enchanting evening .
Day 2 –3 Early breakfast. Preparations for a hike into the exotic valleys and hidden jungle camps of the remote West Maui Mountains. We camp next to a beautiful waterfall. Next day brings more awesome views and explorations. Return to home late in the afternoon for dinner and rest.
Day 4 Up early for a day of Ocean Zodiac expeditions along the Kanaio Coast. Snorkle in pristine and inaccessible bays. Swim with whales and dolphins. Watch turtles and discover the undersea world. Later we hang out on the Beach for a sunset barbeque.
Day 5 Up with the sun and treated to a nice breakfast. We have options to hike at 10,000’ Haleakala Crater. We also visit exlcusive waterfalls, beaches, bays and seldom seen historical sights. A farewell dinner back at home and last evening at Kahakuloa Village.
